The companion mobile app for Brain Power's wearable assistive and educational platform for ASD (autism spectrum disorder) is designed to avoid the pitfall of “heads-down” electronic interventions.

The Empowered Brain suite includes the following sub-modules:

Emotion Charades -- A two-player, interactive emotion-recognition game. In each round, you are prompted by a phone app to make an emotive facial expression. Through the Brain Power glasses, your child sees two emoticons floating next to your face and chooses the one that matches your emotion with a simple head tilt. Your child gets points from the game, and feedback from you!

Face2Face -- Makes looking at faces fun and exciting! Your child earns points and gold stars for paying attention to your face while wearing the Brain Power glasses. Take the time to ask your child what they see as they stay focused on you. Reward points throughout the day for positive behavior and help your child unlock new surprises. See your child smile wide as cartoon characters pop-up whenever they look at a face!

Transition Master -- Uses a 360-degree view of a space that allows your child to freely explore new places to help reduce anxiety prior to moving. Before transitioning to a new school, home, etc., your child can experience the future environment comfortably, as if inside it. Through our glasses, your child sees and hears the environment in whichever direction s/he looks.
