GuidingEvents Description: 1. Software Project
Guidingevents (www.guidingevents.com) is an interactive events planning software that combines desktop, tablet and mobile APPs. It brings both convenience and simplicity in planning events. In just a few simple steps, you can send invitations to other Guidingevents members or friends, they can reply to the invitation with their mobile phone and it reduces the overall time and effort for planning an event. During an event, all participants can create posts from their mobile phone to the event page and those photos can be shared to every participant. Everyone can like and comment on the posts and the event will become more fun and interesting. All photos can be retained for future enjoyment, and can be made into souvenirs, such as an album, calendar, bookmark, key ring etc.

2. Ideas
As social network is becoming more popular in society and people are constantly holding events, we believe a software should be developed to allow everyone to create events at a click of a button. Schools are always organising different extracurricular events for the students, family and friends have gatherings or trips, social communication between friends and so on. Although there are similar activity planning softwares in the market, the functions are too limited and unrefined. No existing software allows one to plan, send invitations, have participants interact with each other all within one software. Guidingevents provides service from the beginning to the end of every event. The system is a cross-platform designed, as it is compatible with a desktop computer, tablet PC or Android and an iOS mobile phone.
Before we began this project, we collected and analysed market information to make this software the best in the market. We spent 18 months to develop the system and our crew members includes 5 programmers, 4 graphic design and UI colleagues and 1 system director.
