Gyan Description: Due to changes in servers , Gyan was not fully functional for a few days , please update the app to latest version which comes with the fixes for live status , train search and station status .

Gyan is an app developed by Smartweb Innovations to help Indian train passengers . The app can fetch all the necessary info that you need for travelling on Indian Railway from web and display in an elegant user interface . Unlike other apps , Gyan do not display the webpages on your mobile , Gyan fetches just the required data from web and thereby ensuring less data consumption and faster access to the information .

Main Features :

a) Train Schedule : Get the schedule of any train running in India , just start typing the train number or name and select your train from suggestions , the app will fetch the latest schedule and displays on your device .

b) PNR Status : Now you can check your PNR status faster than ever , just enter your PNR number and wait for a few seconds , the status will be shown on your mobile screen .

c) Seat Availability : Do you want to check the number of unreserved seats on a train for a particular date ? Just enter your train name or number and your journey date and optionally you can select the class in which you prefer to travel and the reservation quota .

d) Fare Calculator : Do you want to check the train fare ? Between any railway stations ? Just enter your source and destination railway stations along with the class and the reservation quota . The detailed fare will be shown ( tax , service charge etc will be shown separately ).

e) Live running status : Do you want to know the exact position of a train ? Do you want to check the delay of your train ? and the expected arrival time ? Just enter the train number or train name , the current location of train and the stations which the train had passed and going to arrive will be shown , along with the expected arrival and departure time .

f) Train Search : Search and find trains running between any stations in India , you filter the trains according to the train types ( Express train , Passenger train , Janshatabdi , Rajadhani etc )

g) Station Status : Check the arrival and departure statuses of a station . Just enter the name of station and the trains which are stopping at and leaving the station in next 4 hours will be shown on your mobile along with the delay ( if any )

h) Next Station : Do you want to know the railway station that your train had passed and the next station at which train is going to stop ? then use this feature .

i) Special trains : Just select this option and the list of all special trains running in India along with their schedule will be shown .

j) IRCTC ticket booking : Now you can easily access the IRCTC mobile website within the app and you can quickly book the train tickets .

Trouble shooting :

1) The features live status , train search , station status , special trains , next station requires one time captcha verification , so please wait for some time for the verification to load .
