What was new in version 2.28:

A new tile “Pandemieradar” has been added to the Corona-Warn-App. From the tile, you can navigate to a website run by the Robert Koch Institute that displays several different statistics about the corona pandemic. The figures are updated every business day. Note that the data used for opening the website is taken from your data plan, that the website is not accessibility compliant, and that it is only available in German.

The app can display whether you are required to wear a mask in your federal state in certain locations. It's not displayed until your federal state decides on extended rules for compulsory wearing of masks. A negative rapid test or PCR test exempts you from this mask requirement for 24 hours. Depending on the state, you may also exempt from wearing a mask due to vaccinations or recovery no longer than 3 months ago.
